The part about expectations shaping outcomes is underrated. I spent years trying to explain to founders why they kept getting blindsided by obvious obstacles, and it always came back to expecting the climb to be smoother than it actually is. That Scott Adams quote lands diferent when you realize most advice fails because people want the conclusion without the prerequisites. The hater stuff connects nicely too cause once I started treating negative feedback as just another data point to filter through my own risk calibration, decisions got way clearer.
