Friends,

First, thank you for supporting Moontower. As I mentioned in the last issue, I want to give more to this group. As a paid sub you can now expect:

  • subscriber-only posts

These give me the space to be a bit more intimate. These won’t be numbered or on a regular schedule like the typical posts are. I expect they’ll be pretty off the cuff. I have a friend writing a guest post that probably doesn’t need to hit the whole audience. Might be spicy.

  • occasional livestreams

I’m open to suggestions on topics but I can also walk-through technical posts. I’m a fan of YouTube and podcasts because for important points I can often remember the tone in which something is said which helps it bind to memory. Plus there’s more opportunity for emphasis than just bolds and italics which are tired eyes satiate to. Livestreams are easy to just turn on and start riffing than video where the expectation is a bit more polished. We are already used to the organic quality of “live”

Let’s hop in.

I was chatting with a friend who trades at a prop firm. The conversation started because I asked if they were moving to more of a pod model recently. My friend affirmed the centralized model I was more familiar with as opposed to pod shop’s silo’d hub-spoke structure.

The conversation turned to employee development and I thought it would be more widely interesting.

(Publishing with my friend’s approval)
